Welcome to St Stephen's CE School's Website

St. Stephen's Nativity|
Please see the flyer below for further information. The flyer will be in school-please ask for further information.
We celebrated our World and how to be thankful by reading the story of Noah's Ark.
At St Stephen’s School we try hard to show and develop the values that Jesus taught us. We do this to make our school and wider community a better place to be.
Our display demonstrates that we are all part of God’s creation and that when we work together and everyone contributes we create something beautiful.
Our Family Tree|
All the children have added a picture to our St. Stephen's Family Tree. Included is our School Mission Statement. The branches contain our Christian Values.
McMillan Coffee Morning|
Thank you to all who supported the coffee morning on Friday. The donations were all worthy of Bake Off! Mrs Corney's class worked hard to organise and ensure everyone who came enjoyed the delicious cakes. We raised a whopping £350 in the morning and then sold the remaining cakes outside after school. Mrs Corney estimates over £400 will be sent to McMillans. Thank you so much-it is was a lovely morning.
Sandra, the school cook for 19 years, retired at the end of half term. we held an emotional assembly for her. we all wish her a long and happy retirement.
St. Stephen's RUN for FUN to raise Harvest Funds!|
Last week, the children from St. Stephen's took part in a 0.7 mile fun run around Towneley Park! Every single child ran the course with fabulous participation across all classes. All money raised went towards our Toilet Twinning Harvest Appeal. The children did themselves proud.
Congratulations to our new Team Captains. I am sure they will support and represent their teams well.

Head Teacher's Welcome
Mrs Sue Cornwell
Another busy start to the school year! Our new Reception have settled quickly and our enjoying time with their buddies from Y6.
Ofsted verified what we already knew-we are a good school where the children are very well behaved and enjoy coming to school. I look forward to continuing to build on this with the support of the wonderful staff we have in school. Mrs Corney has taken up her new role as Deputy Head. We are looking forward to working more closely together this year.
I am sure the children will all look very smart in their uniform. Please can we ensure this is maintained throughout the year? Trainers can be worn on the playground but not during lesson times.
Please check the letters page for the weekly newsletter to keep you updated with what's on.
Mrs Sue Cornwell
Out of School Achievements|
During Celebration Assembly we recognise all the children who have had extra curricular achievements. We have such a range of talents: footballing, cheerleading, swimming and horseriding to name but a few! Well done children.
Last week saw the start of Fledglings. If you have or know anyone who has preschool children, please come along on a Tuesday 9-10.30am. Refreshments included.
