Please find attached the latest Ofsted report. I am delighted to say that Ofsted have declared us GOOD in all areas.
Thank you for your continued support. Your children are a credit to you.
Welcome to St Stephen's CE School's Website
Learn, grow and achieve together through God's love.
Please use the tabs to browse all the pages for information.
At St Stephen’s School we try hard to show and develop the values that Jesus taught us. We do this to make our school and wider community a better place to be.
Our display demonstrates that we are all part of God’s creation and that when we work together and everyone contributes we create something beautiful.
Congratulations to our new Team Captains. I am sure they will support and represent their teams well.
The Queen's 90th Birthday|
Thank you to all the children for brightening up school in their red, white and blue! They looed fabulous. The PTFA worked really hard to put together a memorable street party for the children. This included party games and food (including home made crown shaped biscuits!)
Days like this are superb-thank you for your support.
Year 3 Roman Experience Day|
Year 3 loved having two Romans called Cornealia and Crisptus come to teach us all about the Romans. There are more photographs on our class page.
World Book Day|
The whole school got involved in celebrating a love of reading. Everybody dressed up as their favourite book character. Willy Wonka, (Logan), was in charge for the day and his Oompa Loompas performed for the rest of the children!
The children took part in a book quiz, where clues were hidden around the playground. We had a great turn out for our 'parent steal', where parents, a grandparent and our Chair of Governors were pinched to read stories to the classes.
Thank you so much for all the effort you have gone to ensuring all the children looked so fabulous. Everyone had a super day.
Our Family Tree|
All the children have added a picture to our St. Stephen's Family Tree. Included is our New School Mission Statement. The branches contain our Christian Values.

Head Teacher's Welcome
Mrs Sue Cornwell
I am looking forward to welcoming the children and parents back for the start of the new school year. It was a busy end to the summer term with an Ofsted inspection and the start of the building work.
Ofsted verified what we already knew-we are a good school where the children are very well behaved and enjoy coming to school. I look forward to continuing to build on this with the support of the wonderful staff we have in school. Mrs Corney has taken up her new role as Deputy Head. We are looking forward to working more closely together this year.
I am sure the children will all look very smart in their uniform. Please can we ensure this is maintained throughout the year? Trainers can be worn on the playground but not during lesson times.
Please check the letters page for the weekly newsletter to keep you updated with what's on.
Mrs Sue Cornwell
Out of School Achievements|
During Celebration Assembly we recognise all the children who have had extra curricular achievements. We have such a range of talents: footballing, cheerleading, swimming and horseriding to name but a few! Well done children.
