PGL Photos

|

The first installment of PGL photos are up on the website (look to the tab that says 'PGL 2016'). As all the photos are on different iPads the second installment will arrive when we get back to school. I hope you can stand waiting a little longer.

World Book Day

|

The whole school got involved in celebrating a love of reading.  Everybody dressed up as their favourite book character.  Willy Wonka, (Logan), was in charge for the day and his Oompa Loompas performed for the rest of the children!

The children took part in a book quiz, where clues were hidden around the playground.  We had a great turn out for our 'parent steal', where parents, a grandparent and our Chair of Governors were pinched to read stories to the classes.

Thank you so much for all the effort you have gone to ensuring all the children looked so fabulous. Everyone had a super day.

Our Family Tree

|

All the children have added a picture to our  St. Stephen's Family Tree.  Included is our New School Mission Statement.  The branches contain our Christian Values.

 Head Teacher's Welcome

Mrs Sue Cornwell

My name is Mrs Sue Cornwell and I am  the  Head Teacher of St Stephen's CE School.

Following a wonderful term as Associate Head I am in my second term as  the substantive Head Teacher.  As you, the parents,  are the most important people in your child’s life, it is really important that we continue to work together to support each other in making sure your child continues to receive the best education possible.  It has been lovely getting to know many of you at drop off and pick up times and to have welcomed you into school for events.  If you would like to discuss any particular issues or views with me, please make an appointment and I will be happy to meet with you.

Please check the letters page for the weekly newsletter to keep you updated with what's on.

Fun in the Sun!

|

The children are having a super time with the new playground equipment.  Thank you to the PTFA for buying the equipment.

The Year 6 Pals have been working hard to plan entertaining activities for the other children.

We are preparing to have some new playground markings.  Fund raising by the PTFA and School Council is helping to pay for this-well done to those involved.  We will keep you posted with pictures when work begins.

Out of School Achievements

|

During Celebration Assembly we recognise all the children who have had extra curricular achievements.  We have such a range of talents: footballing, cheerleading, swimming and horseriding to name but a few!  Well done children.
